Position Summary
Strategic sourcing and management of direct and indirect materials to achieve structural cost reduction and sustainability targets.

Main function/responsibility/competencies

  • Management of two or more direct and indirect Material Groups within the country (and possibly region)
  • Development of short and long term strategies to improve overall efficiencies
  • Identification and delivery of structural saving initiatives through a data driven approach and cooperation with technical departments
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships based on quality, innovation and sustainability
  • Adapt and improve tools, systems and processes to better achieve the above

Your expertise - Our strength

Qualifications

  • University graduate, preferably in a sciences (chemistry, engineering, etc) branch
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to present at functional and managerial level
  • Advanced project management and leadership skill to co-ordinate execute cross-departmentally
  • Advanced Data analysis and presentation
  • Chemical or engineering background (Preferable)
  • English written and spoken
  • Self-driven, inquisitive and global minded
  • Japansese (Business level)

Head of Procurement, Japan

This role will closely work with:
RnD, Technical Services, Operations & Supply Chain, Quality Control, Finance
(External) Local, Overseas and Intercompany Suppliers
